In Atlanta we saw an '01 WS6 T/A runs 7s, a 1980 Sunbird run 9s and a 66 Ram Air GTO run 8s. So, does that mean any quality built Pontiac can win a shootout?

Unless they're the "typical" Pontiac racer and are scared to let the LS-x Pontiacs run with them.....
Drag racing is as much about the driver as it is anything else. And lets face it, once you're running 10's or quicker, it doesn't matter what's under the hood. None of it is OEM anymore... So at that point, you're rooting for a bodystyle.

Theres always somebody quicker--I've read in HPP were a certain 70 EFI 455 T/A can blow away new Vette's in a hurry ![]() .
