Just recieved my March HPP and there was no Pavement Pounders Shootout in this issue. What happened to it? This my favorite part of the magazine. Is it coming back? Hey Tom is it coming back?

Never fear. We'll pick back up in April with the shootout from Virginia Motorsports Park that was held during the Pontiacs In The Park last year.

I haven't seen a date for that yet. With lead time and production time, the VMP shootout that comes in the April issue actually took place last May. The Louisville shootout may vary of course, but that should you an idea.

I like the shootouts, I just wish more people would bring out 326, 350, 389, 400, 428 cars ( and not ones stroked out to 462,467 or more, if you want a 455 fine, but don't call it a 400 then tell us it's 467) I think we've seen just about every possible combo for 455+ cubic inches including some embarrassingly slow stuff with E-heads. Liked the Canadian dyno test last year, would love to see a shootout up here.
Trying to help... 'cause we don't all have to learn the hard way!

Do they plan on going anywhere near the midwest this year? I would love to go bet can't make the 1100 mile trek to Va.

Hi I have a 86 cutlass with a 455 pontiac I put in it.. Will HPP let me run in the shootout? If I can get in and if HPP comes to KCMO the car runs 11.80's..on a 75 shot at 116 mph . And 12.20 at 110 on the motor it is a lot of fun
