ok i have a 66 gto i would like 500 hp out of it i have a great running 73 455 not a SD i have an holly street domanter intake 750 edelbrock carb and hooker headders the drive train is th400 3.23gears mabe changing to a 3.40 or 3.73 witch ever is best the motor is stock bore and berings

i forgot to say i needed help finding the specs and advice on parts also it has 4x heads

easiest way is a set of Edelbrock heads and a cam. I made 475 hp with .573 266@.050 400" on pump gas. So in a 455 no problem. You can port the 4x heads but you'll have almost as much in them as a set of E-heads. I have a 400 block with a 4.250" stroke crank. I make 600 hp with a ported set of E-heads and a big solid cam on pump gas.
