What the right way set the hatch pull down assembly so it will work as it should and last as long as possible.  

What year and model car are you referring to? I know the F-bodies have been plagued with horrid hatch relase mechanisms.  

It's an 89 Tran-Am. Got myself a donor car a 90 Iroc Z which has a good mechanism. I just would like to know how to set it up as far as the adjustments. There is adjustments that can be made from side to side and up and down.
