I have a complete wrecked running donor 90 iroc z 5.7/Auto with the MAP set up. I plan on removing the complete engine and trans out of it to install in my 89 T/A that came factory with a 5.7/Auto MAF setup .
The 89 T/A is missing the complete TPI set up including the MAF sensor as well.
Question:
What is the easies way to get the MAP setup to work on my 89 ***
Should, I modify my 89 harness to work with the 90 MAP setup (I did read the tech article at TGO "1986-89 TPI upgrade to 1990-92 TPI ECM (MAF -> MAP/Speed-Density)" and it briefly stated the following: you can easily reuse your MAF wiring and existing knock sensor engine wiring to hook the new MAP and knock sensor to. This is a more permanent solution if you're sold on Speed Density. Or should i install the harness out of the 90 iroc into my 89 *** The only thing that i know of thats diffrent between the two cars harness besides the MAP/MAF wires is that the T/A has the pop-up headlights and the Iroc does not.
I did some research and found out that i would have to repin the c100 and c207. But, i don't know much more than that.
C100 & C2007- Where are those at? Is the one behind the brake booster one of them?
I know that I'm very capable of the repin process i just need to know the exact order of the process.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
