I want to install a custom exhaust on my 2001 trans am CONV ws6. I'd like to be able to control the output/volume of my exhaust by a button inside of my car. Does anyone know of a company that offers this type of thing or will I be making my own?? Thanks for the help, Nathan

That's easy. There are quite a few companies to choose from. I believe the original was made by Quick Time Performance, called the QTP Electric Cutout. http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/
This allows you to control the volume of your exhaust by means of a butterfly valve that can be open at a varying angle. They now offer a controller which tells you how far they have been open. This will give you an idea of where you like to have it open. 25% or 100%, it doesn't matter.
There are several other companies out there, so I suggest searching for "electric exhaust cutout" and doing some research. There have been a few issues in the past of exhaust leaks and breakage. The newer and higher-end models have made alterations to their original designs to help counter this, such as the control module.
Hope this helps.
