Hello All, i have a chance to get a good deal on a pair of 275/60/15 roadhuggers, which i'd like to put on the back of my 70 LeMans. Will that well accept a tire that big?
i have 235s back there now, and my cragar rims have decent offset, so i guess i could convert milimeters to inches and get out a tape measure, but you never really know until it's mounted if it works, and then it's too late if things don't work.
if anyone has experience with this size tire on an A-body, I'd appreciate hearing from you. seems to me like it should fit. i just swapped in a 4bbl carb/intake and now i want some rubber to plant the power. thanks!

I am doing exactly the same thing right now, ordered 275 60s and 15 X 8 rims. They will fit, might have to jack it up a little bit, but will definatelly have the old school look. I have 215s on mine and it looks weak, so gotta fill that wheelwell.

Those 275/60R15s are tall tires- about 28" tall. Your 235/60R15s are only 26" tall- a 275/50R15 tire would be a better fit, and the lower profile will look cool too.
