I have a 79 TA with the olds sm block, On the motor is a edelbrock performer olds intake manifold which has the stupid EGR which interferes with the linkage on my edelbrock 4 barrel carb. Has anyone out there got away with a carb spacer and had the shaker sit well? Edelbrock does not make a manifold that will solve this. My only hope is a spacer or i need a stock replacement carb so the linkage wont hit the manifold.

ok, how about this. If you own a 77-79 T/A with the 403, what intake carb combo do you have and is your shaker sit right?

I run a 4 bar. holley with one metering block and it seemed to bolt right up to that intake just fine with no clearance issues on the shaker.
