hi, i have a 1989 pontiac grand prix se with a 3.1 mpfi V6 that i just resently totaled oct 25th, the motor still runs like a champ even with 178 thousand miles. the goal i want to make is trying to pull the motor from my grand prix and putting it in to a 2000 grand am se with a 2.4 4 cylinder the motor in the grand am was run 4 quarts low on oil and the motor blew the body is in excellent condition and would make a great car for the 3.1 mpfi V6 my only problem is that i dont know if i pull both motors.. if the 3.1 mpfi V6 from the grand prix will fit in the 2000 grand am se could anyone give some advice to if the motor will fix or segestions on how to swap the motors. i understand that i would have to do all the wireing from the 89 to the 2000 and also the computer would have to be swaped out or reprogramed.
