hi was wondering if someone could help me. I have a 71 pontiac lemans wagon with a 455 from a 71 grandvill i was wondering if putting the heads from the stock 350 that were in the wagon originaly on the 455 that is in it now would help me. I was hoping it would boost the compression up. it is a drag car (1/8 mile) and never drivin on the street. I was also wondering if switching to a duel plain intake would help instead of the torker that is on there now? The motor had 55000 miles on it. it has a lunati bracketmaster II cam 292 duration 490 liftand a torker intake and headers. with a 3000 stall and a 10 bolt with 411s in it
thanks Cody

While it's possilble that the 350 heads (probably #94 or 95) will increase power due to the way higher compression ratio, remember that the valves are smaller and may cost you power. Plan to switch to racing gas with that much squeeze and if you do change to a dual plane manifold, try a Performer RPM not the Performer with a combo like yours.
Trying to help... 'cause we don't all have to learn the hard way!
