Hello.
I have a 67 GTO. And from the alternator Power input/output are the one cabel to the Voltage regulator/alternator regulator. And one from the R point and one from the F point. (the doubel plastic plug on the alternator) and one cabel tat goes from the voltage regulator to the inside wiering.
But on my wire map it only shows that there is tow cabels that shud goe to the voltage regulator. One from the alternator and one to the inside wiering.
Can sombody help me with som picures or tell me how the wiering shoud be?
Thanks

ok..this may not help a bit but...on my 68 firebird i just replaced the old altenator with a new one. the guy at the shop told me i'd be better off puttin aan altenator on with the built in regulator and this is how he told me to wire it up.
put the heavy wires on the "hot terminal"(should be one to the starter and one going towards the wiring harness)..then there is 2 wires on the white plastic plug..a red and a white....the red is to be hooked to the "hot terminal" also....the white is to be hooked to the "brown" wire on the regulator by just cutting the brown wire off a few inches from the regulator and splicing the white wire to it......(the remainder of the brown wire is just a dead wire after that)
after that i still had the white plastic plug from the old altenator which had a blue and black wires(i think) left hangin by the altenator. so i called the shop guy and asked what to do with them. he said they were also useless now and to just fold them back and tape them or cut them off as short as possible and tape the ends .
this will only help if you are converting to a internally regulated altenator

Thanks! But i dont know if it is a built in regulator on the alternator. And i cant find anything infon on the alternator except some id numbers.. But iam not sure because the regulator seems to be "over briged" fore i guess the regulator is orginal and then it is a mecanic regulator. and they only need two wires. But it has a orginal plastic plug with foure poles.
And i dont know if all the wires shoud be there or only two. i just got the car from the U.S.
But maby i shud call Boyd Coddington in the Hot Rod series. he looks so happy
