I don't know what your 99 is but if it has 9005-9007 head lamps you can go to www.zzperformance.com and get a great hid kit. I do not work for them and I am not affiliated with them at all I just order a lot of stuff for my gtp from them and they are one of the best out there. If you order tonight you will have it by tuesday or wed without fail.

There are plenty of kits out there for our cars. You should be able to simply upgrade the headlamps to an HID bulb. Seeing that our cars feature sealed beam headlamps, you have to make sure that the kit you purchase it made for Firebird lights.
You will only need to upgrade the low beams. Your fog lights are going to look silly once you have installed the kit, so you might want to do a conversion on them as well. That also adds to the cost.
The good news about the kits is that they have come down in price greatly, and they can be installed in your driveway. You should also have the option of the output. 8,000K and 10,000K, the higher you go, the more blue and unnatural the color will be. I believe 12,000 is close to purple.
Good luck with the install.
