Hello I am brand new to this forum, I hope Im in the right catagory.  I have an all original 79 t/a with a factory am/fm radio and I want to install a factory 8 track.  My question is whats involved to do that , I want to be careful because the car is immaculate inside, and I would hate to break something.  

i believe that your car takes the 8track in the console space under the radio...you will need oem parts to make it work.... aftermarket units were made that had an overall smaller dimension and they fit the opening with a trim plate.... to disassebmle the car remove the hush pad under steering wheel, remove air duct you will now be able to access the reart radio mntg brkt.... to install the oem 8trk remove the console..it will make life easier..just take your time...binderdundat for too many years..good luck
