Greetings, all. Finally got a flywheel that fits my crankshaft....my original clutch was a 10.5 inch, this flywheel is drilled for an 11 inch disk/pressure plate. Will there be any adverse effects of going with the bigger clutch and pressure plate? Thanks again in advance.

There is no really adverse affects to the 11" clutch in fact most 400/t10 combos came that way, the assembly is slightly heavier than the 10.5" and will affect how quickly the engine revs (as will any heavy rotating mass like a flywheel, torque converter, larger harmonic balancer, long stroke crank, heavier pistons/rods etc.). The advantage lies in the larger clutch's greater clamping force and friction surface. This enables our long stroke Pontiac torque monsters to hook-up instead of smoking the clutch lining, not like the typical short stroke, low torque small block Chevy that can get away with smaller, lighter clutches. Don't forget a good set of u-joints with all that Pontiac torque and a stick! Solid joints with out the lube fittings might be a good idea.
Trying to help... 'cause we don't all have to learn the hard way!
