Not by a long shot! To start with the s10 axle is a 7.5" ring gear which would be marginal behind a Pontiac V8. But making it fit is just a hassle all around. The s10 axle uses leaf springs instead of the triangulated four link of the Tempest. Which means all the brackets would need to be fabricated and welded on just to bolt it in, also if it is a 2 wheel drive s10, the axle will be way too narrow (thay are actually 1/8" narrower than a 70's Monza/Sunbird). The 4wd s10's have a slightly wider track but still there is no benefit (even with posi and good gears) that makes the swap worthwhile. Better to find a proper axle, all the GM A/G bodies from 68-72 use the same axles, make it easy on yourself.
Trying to help... 'cause we don't all have to learn the hard way!
