i have a 68 firebird with a 250 overhead cam and a powerglide.

i have a fully rebuilt chevy 350 and a 4 speed tranny.

how would i convert the chevy motor into the firebird and what parts would i need??

Jeff, by 4-spd, I assume you mean manual trans. If that is the case, you need the clutch/brake pedals from a manual trans car (firebird/camaro) and the clutch linkage from a small-block powered camaro- they are different from a Chevy V8 to a Pontiac V8. Use the camaro V8 frame mounts and engine brackets and it will bolt-in on the factory drilled optional holes in the crossmember. Depending on the brand of trans you may need a different yoke and shorter driveshaft (BW T-10). Use camaro rad hoses, power steering pump and hoses, alt brackets, starter etc. The wiring should work OK as the OHC6 is based on the Chevy 6 which is close to the Chevy V8 wiring layout. Front springs may be OK, you'll have to judge for yourself when it's installed. Hope I've helped.
