Not sure if this the correct place to be posting this request, but here it goes. I really enjoyed your featured article about the Can-Am in the 8/08 issue. It was fantastic. Continuing on the theme noted on the front cover, ie., "Get Respect for Your Alternative Pontiac", I would really like to see a similar article on the '86 2+2. It would really be a pleasure to see something of that nature written about this rare car. I say this not only because I am the owner of one, but because so little is written about these cars, and to clear-up some of the myths about them, such as the amount produced (1225). You could also spotlight an interesting example, such as the project I came accross by Classic Restorations while browsing the web(classicresto.com). They are doing a very interesting restification, where among other things, the car is being converted to hatchback configuration(Too bad it didn't come this way originally!!!). I realize many people will take issue with altering such a rare car in any manner, let alone something as drastic as the aforementioned, but to each his own. Besides, as much as I appreciate my 2+2 for its unique place in automotive history, the car is in desperate need of some changes, especially in the performance catagory! I have to believe there are others who read your fine publication who would also like to see such an article in it. Hope to see it soon. Thank you, and keep up the great work!

I agree, the Aerocoupe 2+2 was a great looking car and even without being a Pontiac guy I would have preferred one to a Monte Carlo SS. There were 2 or 3 in our area(eastern Ontario, Canada) many years back, but the last one I saw was getting rough, thanks to too many Canadian winters. Too bad Pontiac didn't have the foresight to install a hotter mill, such as a TPI 5.0 or 5.7L, they might have had a best seller on their hands! Steve
A little help... 'cause we don't all have to learn the hard way!
