Does anyone know what years and models of Pontiacs with shaker hoods will fit a 77 Ventura?

Pontiac never offered a shaker

Pontiac never offered the shaker on the 75 and up ventura, although the 74 GTO based on the earlier Ventura had a shaker based on the early 70's TA. If you want to put a shaker on your 77, you will have to try the different models and see what fits best, we're talking strictly trial and error here. If I were to make a guess, I would say the late 70's to 81 TA 301 shaker would be the best bet, because it was designed slightly taller to fit the lower deck 301. Because the hood line on the Ventura is higher, this might help in getting the shaker to sit better in the hole in the hood. But, like I said, it's just a guess. Steve

Actually, the 74 GTO shaker hood setup is a direct bolt in part. I would suggest using the 74 striker bar that came with the GTO hood. Your 77 bar will work though. My 76 Ventura uses this same hood and scoop on top of the Oldsmobile 260 in it. The only adjustment I made was to space it up. The traditional Pontiac V8 engine (except 301)was never offered with this body. They will bolt in easily as well. You can see pics of my 76 at pontiacventura.com. Good luck.
