HEY GUYS I HAVE A 67 MODEL 326 (HEAD #140) I AM LOOKING AT A 400 FROM A 72 BONNEVILLE. THE HEAD ON THE 400 IS 7J2. WILL MY 326 HEADS WORK ON THE 400. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY GREATLY APPRECIATED. PLEASE EMAIL ME AT jen7822@yahoo.com

Except for the compression ratio, the air flow is probably pretty much the same. A 9.2:1 326 head on a 400 yields around 10:1, which is generally considered too high for today's gasoline.
If it were my car, I'd keep the 7J2s on the 400. Better yet is get a set of 6X-4s for your 400.

The 62cc 326 heads will work on the 400 but unless you are going to use race fuel the 11:1 C.R. will be way to high for pump gas.
