Hi Folks, I figure I'd keep everyone up to date on my little project. As far as the lock up converter on the 350 trans, The 400 I got out of the 78 T/A had a 350 with it so that problem is solved. Now this little project has gotten way out of hand. So far, nose off the car and broken down, rad support blasted and painted, also inner fenders, a-arms,sway bar, sub frame pulled, blasted, painted, all org calipers, washer moter, steering box, alt, rebuilt. I have a great friend who runs a parts dept from a loc chevy dealer, all weatherstrip,a-arm bolts, subframe bushings, upper arm washers all gm, its surprising what they still have if someone is willing to look. Now I know a 400 in a 81 TA is not going to fool a pontiac man but the drive in crowd? As far as the moter , a set of 76 6X-4 heads all rebuilt to stock, I will go with a 068 cam unless someone has a better idea, also just what was the diff in the Q-jet carbs as far as the W-72 400? And has any one used the aftermarket shaker flap kit?? Pete

I would use a lunati cam kit P#00072LK which has a .458 lift and a rpm range of 1500-5000.
