Hello - I am new here, please forgive a question that may be entirely obvious to most of you.... I have a 1962 Pontiac 389, all original equipment, that has been rebuilt and beautifully restored. I am getting ready to fire the motor, but for the life of me I don't know which position is #1 firing on the distributor.... This is a Delco Remy 1110976 distributor, with no vacuum advance, just mechanical. For reference points, on the housing is stamped 'FF' at one point, and the ground terminal for the points is 1/4 of the way round from there. Directly across from the terminal (180 degrees) is the oiler tube. This is the original motor in my 1962 Raysoncraft endurance racing boat, and has the original Tripower unit as well, beautiful stuff. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. - Dave
