I have a '75 Grand Am and want to upgrade the brakes. I always have a hard time determining if certain parts fit. There's a ton of stuff out there for 67-72 A-bodies but very little for 73-77's. I have found some things that work (sometimes with a little modification)for my car, but not a lot. I don't plan on spending thousands of dollars on brakes but I do want to improve stopping. I have been told we can swap the rear discs from a newer Caprice or roadmaster and possibly the larger front brakes. Anybody know? please don't think i'm a total retard, I'm a recovering Mopar=holic

I would call someone like Stainless Steel Brake Corp. or Ame's and talk with the tech person. I just did a complete front disc conversion on my 69 Firebird Convertible that I bought from SSBC and it is outstanding.

SSBC does have a great reputation but I just don't wanna spend $1500-$2000 just on brakes. I want to improve braking but I'm not building a show car GTO or something. I'm just building a reliable driver.
