The 301 is in essence a 'short deck' Pontiac motor, so headers designed for 350, 400, 455 motors will not work. IMO you would be better off swapping in any other Pontiac V-8, since the 301 is not worth modifying to make power.

Geno is right on. even if you could find headers for it you would not get any performance gains. find a 400 they are everywhere.

I think headers for "real" pontiac motors can be used on 301s because when I dumped my 301 for the 350 poncho motor I used the exhaust manifolds off of the 301. The bolt holes lined right up. But like the others have already stated, you're not going to see any power gains by putting headers on the 301, you should upgrade to the 400, it will literally bolt right in the engine bay and bolt right up to the transmission. You might encounter problems with the alternator, power steering and ac compressor brackets.
