Shaker to low

 The shaker on my TA is low?Tried a spacer but no sucsess?Are all shaker the same size from 77 to 81?Can i use a 76 rounded style?

The shakers were changed many times. There is also a corresponding change to the air cleaner base. You did not mention what year and engine your TA has. That will give some additional information as to why it may be low.

Thanks for the info my TA was an 80 indy turbo.I added the hood and located the base and shaker together.I like the look of the shaker's bolted to the hood it sits high.But mine still shake's so i want to keep it that way? if i can locate a 76 and down is it taller??thanks for any info.ps i have a base 4 a 403 but it seems 2 much as it pops the hood in the rear?

Could be funky hood hinges,GM's are known for popping up in the rear when they get older.
