I am looking for a 1970 Firebird project car and I live in SC. Does anyone know where I can locate one for a decent price. All I have found in my area are two very rusted out ones for 2000 which is very much overpriced for their condition. I would have to combine both cars and spend at least 30,000 just to have a good car. Can anybody help me?

I would suggest Criagslist.com/org It's a Free site and I've found tons of deals on there. and most cars that age are going to be rather rusty and overpriced In my experinces. It seems that if a car's older than 25 years people think their worth BIG bucks no matter the condition. I've been keeping my eye on this 78 that's started at 5000 and now is down to 2598 (over a period of 6 months) when it gets to It is on the rusty side too. Best of luck to you tho!

Use craigslist.com and ebay.com I prefer craigslist!! You deal with the seller only.
Narrow your search to more localized locations
If they seem to be asking for much more than what the car is really worth, give them a low ball offer and see what happens.
1969 GTO, YS code 400, 350hp/445 ft lbs of torque (stock specs), LT headers, H-pipe, 750 Holley 4160, Ignitor II ignition. Complete Painless wiring.

It depends on how much you want to spend. A car that old, to be in fairly good condition, without rust, may only be found in the Southwest. Not many people will keep a project car indoors where the weather is bad. Besides what was offered, you may want to even check on-line pontiac sites, as well as local F-body clubs, either on-line or local to you. Big clubs like P.O.C.I. have pretty good ads, and you can put in want ads, once you are a member.
Hope this helps,
George
