I have a 1970 455 out of GTO 500 lb ft@3100 360hp. I have kept this motor for some time but now I must part with it for upcoming home purchase. I really want this to go to someone that has the matching car as I have found this is a very very rare engine. In 1970 GTO 455 only available for the last quarter. Production numbers for A/T 1986 - hardtop/241 - convertible!!! Last year for leaded fuel engines and only year for 10.25:1 The engine code's are: BLOCK - cast 70 and date code I099 (sept 09 1969) by distributor hole stamped 149468 YA on front also cast 9799140 on various locations Has factory 4-bolt main caps
HEADS - cast #64 date code I199 (sept 19 1969)
CRANK - cast # 9799103
I have all the other parts from this motor cam, timing cover, valley pan,oil pan, connecting rods, pistons, intake ect...
I WOULD LIKE ANY INFORMATION THAT WOULD HELP ME SELL THIS ENGINE TO THE RIGHT BUYER FOR RESTORATION AND NOT JUST TO SOMEONE WHO IS GOING TO HOTROD IT. I HAVE MOTORS FOR HOTRODING BUT THIS IS TO VALUBALE AND RARE TO SOMEONE WHO NEEDS IT TO HAVE IT BLOWN UP CAUSE A CHEVY GUY GOT IT AND TRIED TO SPIN IT LIKE A SMALL BLOCK.
Thank you in advance for all your help,

Less than a year ago I saw a 1970 GTO for sale on E-bay. Original 455 car but had a 400 in it. The car was in need of total resto but looked very solid and complete. I feel somewhat foolish telling everyone in the world this but the economy is kickin my ass right now and for once I will not be selfish and let someone else have a shot a building this very rare car!! I have a 70 GTO with every original part including window sticker but its a 400. I would love to build this car for myself so if ladyluck walks my way with some cash in the near future it will be in my shop!
