78 trans am grill and taillight colors?Help!

Hey all anybody know what the black is on the grills and taillights???is it flat semi or gloss????they look flat but are faded??thanks "trans am nut"

I believe it was a satin black the only info I have is that it was a low gloss black paint.

low gloss or semi gloss will do just fine, the grill pieces will definately need to be preped properly to get the paint to stick. Most grills are chrome plated making it difficult for the paint to stick. lightly scuff the area to be painted with scotch-brite ( masking off the chrome area not to be painted first makes it easier)
