Car: 79 Trans AM Pace Car w/Olds 403: Automatic w/Hurst Duel Gate Shifter
Action: Replaced Rochester with Holley Double Pump 670cfm electric choke w/vacuum secondary. Edelbrock 3711. Installed ¼ inch adapter plate for linkage clearing and has the Shaker Hood.

Problem: Idle RPM drops low to almost stalling when putting car in drive. Not sure where vacuum lines connect.

Lines needing connection are I think these connect to the carb: A) Distributor port.
B) Transmission tube. C)  EGR port in top of valve cover.
D) Cable that connects up to round steering box attached to fire wall. E) Evap canister.

Not sure what connection needs a ported or unported tap. Also there are a few connections that would connect up to the shaker hood air box. The car does not have the air pump or any other devices that require a connection that I can visible locate. If you could supply some information, that would be more then I could find on the web

The distributor will need to be hooked up to a port that has no vacuum at idle.

Thank you. Let me ask you a next question, their is a tube line that looks like it goes down to the transmission, where would that connect up to, manifold or carb.

If it has a auto trans. then that is most likely the modulator valve it needs to be plug to a port the has vacuum all the time there should be a port on the front bottom of the holley that it will plug to.

New connections work great. Next question: Blue 19ga wirecomming up from transmission, marked "Transmission Kickdown". I am working from under car without lift and can  not trace line. Where does the wire connect up to.
