I own a 66 Le Mans 326 V8 red conv, that I had off frame restored 20 yrs ago. Very nice car. The orig. 2-speed was upgraded with a 67 GTO 3-speed auto (unfortunately not the His-Hers Hurst shifter)which is now blown.
So now I want to covert the car to a 4-speed stick with a nice shifter. Any advice on who has the best 4-speed transmission kit and what shifter options I have. I have heard of Monster transmissions because I am in the high end home theater biz and read about the Monster Cable company is suing Monster Transmissions over using the name Monster. Stillest thing I ever heard of. Funny how some things turn out though... I just may end up getting a Monster Transmission thanks to Monster Cable's publicity exposure of Monster Transmission.
Also any tips on getting the 4-speed stick successfully installed.
Thanks to all the members/enthusiasts who support this forum.
Pontiac oh Pontiac I love you so.

Pending on how modified/power adders are on the car why not keep it simple and put in a t-10 super duty or an upgraded gear set in a t-10 or stick wth a similar case and tail housing as to keep the stick in the same local. With that type of set up you can run a hurst competition shifter and bang gears for around fifteen hundred to two grand all brand new that is with your work.
