67 firebid rims...need help!

I have got a 1967 firebird 400 4speed with front disc brakes. When I bought the car it had 15x3.5 centerline rims on the front. I want to run 15x6 or 15x7 on the front, but i'm having problems finding the correct back spacing. I was told that with 15x7 I need a 4"-4.5" back spacing and with 15x6 I can use a 3 5/16 back space with a 1/4 spacer and a narrow tire. Has anyone had this problem and who make an aftermarket rim for these cars that wont brake the bank!
