I have a 76 Trans Am with a 455. I bought it on a mechanics lean. It has been bored over 60 but otherwise is stock. I would like to put in a cam that will give me a little more performance and possibly ditch the stock intake and exhaust manifolds. Any recomendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

It has 6x heads, and other than the bore, is bone stock. It will be mostly street driven with the occasional trip to the strip. Since you mentioned heads, what would you recomend to get a little boost in compression and still run well on pump gas. I have seen where people are using different stock heads to raise compression. Again, I plan on a street machine, but still have the stones to make the kids in their tuners wish they didn't mess with me.

If you want to boost compression these heads will do it and you will still be able to run on 93 octane pump gas 7k3and are 96cc,4x and are 98CC or the 6x-4 350 heads which are 92cc they will give you a 9-9.5:1cr depending on which head you use but I would not worry about changing the heads I would get a set of full length headers like you mentioned and a Edelbrock performer dual plane intake and a cam with a 450-470 lift such as lunati's .458 lift bracket master2 cam and lifter kit or a crane energizer .454 lift cam & lifter kit which can be bought from summitracing.
