I have a 67 Lemans with a 400 in it. I'm in search of standard log exhaust manifolds right now, but if I can't find any and have to go back to headers, which brand of headers (exlcude Ram Air repos) seem to fit best without any clearance issues around the starter and tranny (or anywhere else for that matter)?

Mine is a 65 all the headers are supposed to be the same 64-67. First pair I tried were Hooker and second were Heddman. Neither were satifactuary fit. I made some motor plates to raise it 3/8" but was still not a good fit. Mine is also a console shifted automatic, I can imagine the hassle with clutch or column linkage. Some I have seen that fit well are the 3 tube design and looked good from the top. I went with the Ram Air manifolds and have be very glad they were available.
