K, I have a 1967 Grand Prix Convertible.  It has a 428 HO 4 speed.  Fully loaded.  Also has A/C.  Anyway, it is in pretty good shape.  The paint job is probably 25 years old.  It has some nicks here and there but is gorgeous from about 5ft away.  The interior is almost perfect except a crack in the drivers seat and the door panel.  Anyways, I am getting it painted this winter and plan on getting the other things fixed.  Oh, also needs new rubber around windows, trunk and hood.  Anyway, do you think it is worth taking to a car show before all that work is done next year?  It is Regimental red, white top, black interior.  That is from factory.  Only 47 like it due to A/C.  Was like it originally according to original owner.  I am 4th owner.  Original owner sold it to his nephew who showed it all the time.  He won serveral large trophies with it.  My brother bought it from him, I bought it from my brother.  So I know all is original on the car.  PHS does not always get everything right it seems.

Other question is, it always runs at 190 degrees.  When it is real hot out and I run it a real long distance interstate it will get up to almost 230.  Is that normal?  I should prolly call Custom Engines.  They rebuilt it.  It had several cracks in the block but luckily they were able to fix it!!!  All input will be appreciated.

No 230 degrees is not normal and could cause damage if it is allowed to continue to over heat.

Factory temp gauge?  230 is bad news temp wise Shut down and check all components,hoses,rad.etc. Pressure test cooling system with a suitable rig availible from any auto parts store before you do anything
Missing shroud, clogged rad, check all twice

Make sure the rad cap is good also. Your local auto parts store can check this.
