Hey Guys,
I've begun a project of restoring the brakes on a 66 Pontiac 2+2 recently. I've found that the master cylinder is loaded with at least 30 year old brake fluid (it is no longer a fluid). Basically, just black sludge. I would imagine the rest of the brake lines would also be loaded with this sludge. I've read about cleaning your brake lines should they get contaminated and such, but never could find a guide that related to my 30 year old sludge contamination. Is it possible to get that stuff out of there and salvage the current lines or do you think its just something that I am going to have to replace?
Thanks

Why take a chance I would just replace them.

Well, I will if I have too. But if I can clean them up some how, I would prefer to go that route.
