Another question, when you show a car, a '67 Grand Prix Convertibe to be exact, (the one on Readers Rides, the red convertible), how picky are the judges if the car is not the original color? I want to keep it original but my son is getting his car repainted and he showed me the color http://www.houseofkolor.com.au/news/news_efijy.htm and the guy doing the work does such fantastic work and can do such fantastic paint jobs, I am tempted to do something different. Or would something crazy look stupid on a big old boat like that? And would the judges in car shows eliminate it for not being original?

I guess it depends on what kind of car shows you go to? If you like going to concours type shows with most of the cars trailered there by all means leave it all stock. If you go to streetrod/street machine shows and cruises do what "floats your boat"..In looking at your pics it looks pretty good the way it is and would win or place in a lot of local shows in my area. All the shows are set up different. Some have judges and set classes ,usually by certain years and classes for stock or modified. Some are "judged" by the participants and/or people at the show. All you have to remember is it's your car ...do what you like to it and have fun.In my car club alone we run the gammit from factory restored/original to all out drag race with rollcage but street legal and most cases in between these two extreams. It's your car who cares what everyone else thinks as long as you enjoy it!! if you want a cool paint job go for it!!!
