For those of you looking for brighter instrument panel lights in your '67 GTO, try replacing the recommended #1891 lamps with #1816. I did this and saw a big difference. The 1816's are brighter and they protrude into the housings a little farther. I suspect this trick will work on '66 also. I couldn't find 1816's at Walmart or Advance Auto; Auto Zone had a few, but my local Napa store had a whole box of them. I believe you need 4 to replace them all.
