I have a wiring problem and it will sound silly to some but I have to know. Does the primary lead coming from the distributor to the coil go to the positive or negative terminal on the coil?
67 gto 400 motor, 670 heads, points distributor, 4 speed, its all pretty much stock.

Thanks

primary lead from the distributer goes to the coil negative

the positive  side of the coil should have a pair of wires , one to the bulkhead connector ... the other to the R terminal on the starter solenoid..

its been too long.. but there may also be a condenser on the coil bracket.. it goes to the positive side.. it is to reduce noise on the car radio...   RFI..
