Greetings All!
I just got hooked on muscle cars about 40 days ago. This is great given that I don't know much about cars period, except basic stuff. I have it bad enough that I brought a GTO within 2 weeks. Looking for a 67 but found a 68. This thing needs much restoring however its doable and I love it. It has an engine with a YC 246641 code which I was told came from a full size Pontiac. Any clue what car this came out of? Intake manifold 9794234 with date code K258 which is my 6th birthday, cast #16. It also look like this could have came with Ram Air do to the big hole on driver side firewall. Carb is a Holley 4777-2 which is a replacement. I received the PHS and the came with a 400 HO 4 speed manual. Can someone help this struggling Sep 2005 retired Army Master Sergeant?

What is the block casting number which can be found on the back passenger side of the block. It is most likely from a B-body car.

"Year One" has an excellant catalog with detailed photos of where all numbers are located on the block and heads, along with their codes. it's at yearone.com.
