I have a set of number 62 heads Date code 1118 both heads. The person I obtained these from said they were removed from a 69 GTO. Is this a September 11 68 date? If so could this be a early 69 or a late 68?
Also the casting number 62 is upside down on both heads and the date code is upside down on one head.  I have never seen an upside down number before and I have seen a lot of head numbers.  Is this a museum piece, a rare  collectable, or just a good set of high compression heads.
I have pictures if there is a way to post them

Yes that would indicate a casting date for a 1969 head. The 69 models would already be in production by this date and the casting date would be at least a few earlier than the vehicle production date maybe longer. As for the upside down numbers, they were made by humans and we all make mistakes. Don't count on making any money off them, just horsepower!
