What is the casting mark on top of the center exhaust port of each head? Ie: 6X, 48, 5C and so on.

Is there any chance it is a 94? This would make sense as the date code appears to be December 01/1970 from the numbers you posted (L010, L being Dec., 01 being the first, and 0 being 1970). If so the heads are somewhat small valves (1.96" intakes and 1.66" exhausts) with 96cc combustion chambers which will give somewhere between 8.5:1 and 9:1 CR depending on head milling and piston deck height/oversize and actual chamber volume. These heads were installed on 2bbl 350's in 1971.

THnaks for the info heres some pics to they may help it seems the heads have 2 diffrent date codes one being L010 and the other is 0101 aslo it may be a 9 very hard to tell

also IF this are heads form a 350 are they at least ok performance wise?would they be better then the stock heads from a late 70's 400???the compression numbers seem like they would be better as I was told later 400's had low 8's compression
Thnaks and correct me if I am wrong

Ya those are 94 heads I would not consider them a performance set of heads they have roughly the same size chambers as the later 400's like 4x and 6x but the 94 is the small valve heads.

They are good heads but you will need the chambers opened up some so the CR won't be to high they have 72cc chambers and will give you a 10:1Cr.

Yes 9.5:1CR is the highest on pump gas and iron heads that is why I said you will need to have the chambers opened up some.

Well depending on deck height and head gasket used you will need around a 76-80CC heads best way to get that is to open up the chambers on a set of 12,13,48,62 or 670 heads.
