79 TA door panels

Got a question about door panels. My 79 has manual windows the door panels have the round firebird emblem that usually only was on the power window door panels to cover the hole were the handle was. Has anyone else seen this because I am under empression that this emblem was only on door panels with those cars with power windows I picked this car up from original owner was told only thing ever changed out in it was when his son had put in a different radio and the paint(canary yellow yuk!!!!) but its only paint right. Any info would be great thanks guys as trying to get my ducks in a row to start this resto.  

This won't be much help but it is possible that it did come from the factory that way. If the normal panel wasn't on station when the car came by the factory has been known to put on anything that is handy to keep the line moving.
