Hi- evryone I am new at this so bare with me. I am starting my first search for a car to restore. Want to find a 1969 GTO Judge. Located a GTO in New York, but dont know how to figure out if a judge. Ordered some new spec books but they havent arrived yet. I am having some difficulty on how to determine whether a gto is a judge or not. Other than the engine, does the vin number or body by fisher show it. Is there any other little hints that might help me. thanks jeff

Jeff
lots of fake 69/70 Judges out there -were not that many real ones to start with - therefore before parting with cash - Pontiac Historical Services - will use vin # to determine if Judge (option) package was originally on the car - only special thing that I have found (maybe a fake one would not have) is that because of the additional weight of the airfoil, the Judge deck lid used heavier torque rods for both years (69/70). The 1969 Hardtop Torque Rods (RH 8790659 LH 8790660) 1969 Convertible Torque Rods (RH 8790132 LH 8790133)
Good luck
Kenneth
