can we say pirated from ford - yep - George DeLorean (before the car with that name) after the GM racing ban (1963) went with Mercury - Delorean, fancinated by the powerful, high-revving and durable 427 - Delorean delivered the 427's heads, valve train and camshaft to Pontiac engineers - might we say thankyou FoMoCo - the results was the Ram Air V - however, Pontiac engineers used the RA IV camshaft (Delorean described as "junk") and solid lifters - all this happened around 1966 - 1967 - shame the stuff did not get to the real public - could we not say super GTO
