haha in abluquerque you cant rev your engine. so downshifting correctly could get you a ticket (i.e. take out of 4th let clutch out rev up to about lower gears rpm push clutch in and put in gear) much smoother that way and saves your clutch

Lol in Dallas, seems like all people who drive Mercedes are TERRIBLE! There's like 2 kinds of Mercedes owners... 1. The ones who go 20 over the speed limit, seems like they are always in a hurry and don;t care about cutting people off or forcing themselves into another lane and 2. The ones who go 20 under the speed limit that seem to be in no hurry but are just as likely to cause an accident (for those trying to get on the freeway). It's either those two, nothing in between!

David, I know we're probably beating a dead horse by now, but I have to tell you this one. Yesterday I had just picked up my wife from work downtown - fortunantly I was in my '78 Trans Am.
I was going south on I-45 with the heavy flow of 5 o'clock traffic keeping my usual very far distance from the car in front of me. It was a Cadillac SUV full of children and a mom talking on her cell phone. We were in the middle lane of the three lane freeway with cars jumping in front of me to take up the space.
Suddenly, the stupid woman realized she was about to pass her exit at wayside and take a wild guess what she did. She put on her brakes and turn light and stopped in the middle of 60 mile per hour traffic and thought she would some how get over and make the exit.
I'm usually anticipating such pure idiotic moves and was able to roar between two cars onto the shoulder. We sat and watched as a whole freeway full of traffic slammed on their brakes. Can you believe nobody hit her, God must have said "I shall spare the kids!"
Then to top it off, I came up beside her at a light a mile down the road and told her very politely that that was not a very wise move. She shot the bird at me and said "F*** you" in front of all those kids. (She was still on the cell phone).

I'm more methodical with my punishment for jerks. I go to the vehicle registration window at the tax office, fill out a form with their license plate number, and get their name and address. Then I see to it that their vehicle no longer functions correctly.
