pontiac 411 found out has very high compression is 91 gas ok for it

hey pontiac guys so i lookd at my build sheet today and found out my pontiac 411 has higher compression then i thought there 6x heads numbers 4s which are rated at 91ccs stock well they been milld the crap out of them to the limit before milling the intake the ccs now are 87ccs with a trw fordge pistion -10 valve reafe that makes my compression 10.71 any tips on gas i been running 91 octane with 31 total timing in degrees ps the pistions are domes any advice or tips on gas or tuneing

It is not safe to run more than 9.5:1CR on pump gas with iron heads. Setting the timing so that you do not hear audible detonation is just a band aid just because you do not hear detonation does not mean it is not there. You must meet the octane requirement that your engine needs.

Yes you should be running 104-108 octane.

dam mayb thats why it sometimes runs like a dog off the line i been running 91 octane
