Has anyone ever seen a 428 emblem on the Radiator Shroud of a '67 Grand Prix? I saw one for sale in the Ames Catalog, PP310 1967-68 428 Radiator Shroud Emblem (RE) ....... 26.00/ea, while ordering more parts for my convertible. My brother or I have never seen one of them on these cars. He has been restoring old Pontiacs for years and years. He used to go to junk yards all the time and get parts, etc. Anyway, they have this emblem in their Catalog, did not order it cuz I have never seen it on one of the cars, and as my brother said, there are no bolt hole. Here is the link, http://www2.amesperf.com/pdf/P14.pdf, and the page number is 168. All input is appreciated. My convertible is coming along nicely. I am starting to get excited about it!! Although was not very happy, had to order a new tach as the other one I had go lost in all the transporting of the car and parts. But, if it is found, we have 2 other Grand Prixs it can be put on. Anyways, am getting off the subject of the emblem. Just was curious if anyone has ever seen one of them on the Radiator Shroud of the '67 GP. Thanks, Patti

There are two holes punched into the right hand side of the shroud about 3" apart located just in front of the Alternator. This is the location of the underhood badge on 428 cars. Both of my Bonnevilles have the holes punched here even though they are both 400 cars.
This is a photo of a 68 but the 67 is in the same location.

I am surprised though, the driver Bonneville has only one wire spring to start the hood when opened, the parts car and most photos I've seen have two of them. There aren't even holes provided in the radiator support for the second spring so I'm guessing it was a mid year design change.

Dark, thanks for the pic. Not sure if that was on my convert from factory, but loved that pic so I ordered the emblem and putting it on my car. The holes are there, so why not?
