Hey guys, I am going to be selling my 1964 Catalina 2+2 Ventura.
The body is solid and the car is complete.  Totally complete.

Its the one going East/West in front.

Any ideas?  It will be going on Ebay soon, or I may have a buyer in Virg already.

Snell, I know everyone is a little hesitant in quoting sight unseen, I wont pull the trigger on a number but If i was you with a 2+2 (hey that rhymed!) I would first spend a few bucks on a PHS archive package and find out whats what. alot of would be true blue rarities turned out to be clones or resto-mods.. this is especially true with our fellow bretheren chevy owners. chevy really did not have a dedicated historical catalog during the golden age of muscle cars so you have to be pretty savvy when numbers crunchin. pontiac started catalogging all the little warriors in 1955. with numbers breakouts, and such. like we said before, make sure its not a badge-job. meaning, sticking some 2+2 call-outs on the beast for aesthetics, after you did your homework, average the prices from the auction sites and lesser models and that should give you a ball park, as an individual private seller you can aim high but remember my friend, when you say 2+2,,super-duty,,421,,455,,ram-air,,and such that's like saying, "yenko, boss, and r/t"! and is going to attract guys and gals like us, who are going to pick that car apart top to bottom. I'm just trying to be helpful and maximise the vehicles potential if its a true 2+2.. but, it is a 64. and like I said earlier, the 64 is no slouch in its own right. but the masses think of 65-66 as the creme de la creme of the 2+2 arena, I hope this helps as a guide but alot of savvy car people will never show their cards on the table (or internet) unless unloading a boat anchor, or parts, imo. lastly the vehicle's mechanical condition, will be brought into the mix so have some ammunition in your pocket to politely debate a negotiation with someone lo-ballin and lookin for a steal, good luck bud!!!
Widetrack,Superduty,Ram-Air.The chief will never die!

Snell, a good place to get an idea to go from to see what you car is worth, not saying you have to sell your car for that, is www.nadaguides.com.  Hope that helps.  Think I will post that for all.

To help sell it, snell, you may want to add some cool history facts.  I love Pontiacs and am always researching them.  One of them is Out of 257,768 Catalinas produced in 1964, only 7,998 (3%) carried the 2+2 option. The standard engine in the 2+2 was a 389 cid 283 bhp V8.  Here is a cool link about the 2+2 in '64. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1964-1967-pontiac-catalina-2-2.htm

Another fact is The 1964-1967 Pontiac Catalina 2+2 was highly touted for its powerful acceleration and smooth handling. The 1965 2+2 actually outperformed the 1965 Ferrari.  I love reading Pontiac history and facts. Anther cool link about the 2+2's http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclecars/pontiac-catalina/pontiac-catalina-history.shtml.  If you get time sometime, and feel like it, read this article from car and driver about the 1965 2+2 http://www.330gt.com/magazinearticles/caranddriver196503.htm  I have a Muscle Car book I bought few years back with the whole thing in it.  It is pretty cool.  Too bad the big shots at GM had to shut Pontiac down.  I think they would have definately beat all other muscle cars on the road if they wouldn't have. IMO
