got a 77 400 with 6x heads should I leave them on the engine of put a set of 71 #66 455 heads on Thanks

More compression would help. How many ccs are the#66 heads?

Which 6X heads are they 6X-4 91CC,6X-8 101CC.
According to my info the 455 #66 heads are 114CC chambers.

Keep the 6x 4 if you have them. Mill the heads a small amount, also hardend seats already, keep 1.66 exhaust valves.
