I am an owner of a Pontiac Transam built in 1981 without turbo engine( 30 l engine). Do you know if I can replace that engine by a bigger power fuller engine? I mean which one can be built in without a lot of changes. PS.I am from belgium:-) You can always send a mail at rik.dekimpe@telenet.be Thanks and greetings from belgium. Rik

Welcome to the forum rikyrik.,. yes other Pontiac engines will bolt up and you'll need a neutral balance flex-plate, since the 301 uses a weighted one.,. for external balance.

The only thing I want to add is make sure you befeef up the front springs for your transplant. We don't want to see a poster to swaying all over the road.
