I have another active thread troubleshooting shifting issues with my TH400. If I'm unable to come up with a solution, I'm thinking about replacing the trans. My (wife's) car is a '68 Firebird with a 400 (FWIW the engine/trans came out of a '70 GTO). Question of the day: will I be able to swap out the trans (on a car lift) without pulling the engine and trans as a unit? Will I be able to get at all necessary bolts, etc. with the engine in the car? Thanks for any help you can give me. Dan
you do not need to pull an engine to remove a trans.stick your bare valve block in the oven.
Yeah, yeah, with the oven stuff! I'm thinking if I pull the valve body, I'll just replace it with a new one and be done with it. I'd give that a shot before replacing the entire trans. Your input is appreciated, thanks.
Just throw some chocolate chip cookies in with it, when they're done so is your part.
